Community  giving activities are strong in our guild. We are an organization of giving and caring members. We touch many lives with contributions made from our hands and hearts. ___________________________________________________________________________

2012 Community Giving

 

For our new members and a helpful reminder for those who have been active, listed below are our projects and where items will be donated this year:

 

Crib and lap quilts: ChildServe at Woodland Center. Help for children with special health care needs.

 

Twin & larger quilts: Bernie Lorenz Recovery Center. Help for women chemically dependent living in recovery.

 

Placemats: Meals on Wheels: Dallas County & Jasper County programs. Polk County have all they need for awhile!

 

Can pull-tabs: Ronald McDonald House

 

Toiletries travel size or larger: Local shelters

 

Clothing protectors: Valley View Village For pattern - please click here

 

Pillowcases: Local shelters and ConKerr Cancer For instructions to make a pillowcase with no raw edge seams, Please click here

 

Veteran quilts: Community Living Center at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in DM

 

Annually we donate a quilt to Alzheimer’s Association for their fundraiser.

 

We encourage donations of 100% cotton fabrics and batting suitable for machine quilting. Please contact one of us or bring to a guild meeting.
